The DESY CMS group is engaged in following upgrade activities:

• construction and qualification of the modules for the outer layer of the new barrel pixel for the CMS Phase I upgrade
• R&D and upgrade activities towards the construction and assembly of one silicon strip end cap for the CMS Phase II upgrade
• uTCA system tests and software developments for the CMS DAQ upgrades
• R&D for qualification and testing of silicon sensors for the new CMS silicon detectors
